B.A. in Worship Leadership
Worship leadership involves more than musical ability. It requires biblical understanding, spiritual maturity, thoughtful preparation, and a genuine desire to serve the church. The Bachelor of Arts in Worship Leadership is built upon the biblical and theological foundation of Montana Bible College’s core curriculum. Students explore worship both in theory and in practice, examining its historical and theological foundations while developing the skills needed to plan and lead worship in today’s church. Throughout the program, students grow in musical proficiency, leadership, discipleship, and ministry preparation. They also receive opportunities to exercise their gifts through participation on MBC’s Chapel worship team and an intentional internship with a local church.

Build a Strong Biblical Foundation. Study Scripture, theology, church history, discipleship, and ministry leadership so that your approach to worship is rooted in biblical truth.

Understand the Theology of Worship. Explore the historical and theological foundations of Christian worship and learn how worship functions within the broader life and mission of the church.

Develop Practical Worship Skills. Learn how to thoughtfully plan worship services, lead individuals and teams, arrange music, and serve congregations of different sizes and generations.

Grow in Musical Proficiency. Build foundational skills in music theory, songwriting, church music, and musical arrangement for both soloists and ensembles.
​
Gain Hands-On Ministry Experience. Participate in at least six Chapel Practicums and complete a four-credit internship in a local church, applying classroom learning in real ministry settings.

Prepare to Serve the Whole Church. Develop additional skills in church leadership, discipleship, communication, and community leadership that prepare you for the broader responsibilities of vocational church ministry.

What will I study as a Worship Leadership student?
Music Theory Fundamentals (MU 115 )
Build a practical foundation in scales, chords, rhythm, song structure, chord charts, and notation used in hymns and contemporary worship music.
Theology of Worship (MU 230)
Explore the biblical, historical, and theological foundations of Christian worship and discover how worship shapes both individuals and the life of the church.
Worship Planning (MU 320)
Develop practical skills for designing and leading worship services, coordinating rehearsals, working with musical teams, and forming a biblical philosophy of worship leadership.

Admissions & Deadlines
Applying to Montana Bible College is the first step toward discovering how MBC can help you prepare for God’s calling. Applications are available for undergraduate, transfer, international, dual enrollment, and personal enrichment students.
Admission Requirements

Applicants must have one of the following:

A high school diploma

A GED or recognized equivalent

A completed homeschool education

MBC does not require ACT or SAT scores. Academic placement testing may be used to help determine course placement and support needs.
Priority Application Dates
Fall Semester: June 15
Spring Semester: November 15

MBC does not have a final application deadline. However, applying by the priority date gives students priority consideration for classes and campus housing.
​
Applications may still be submitted after these dates. Students must be accepted and enrolled before the first day of the semester.
