Background
Joanna comes from a creative and musical family. Her education, work, and ministry experiences have centered around writing, teaching, and expressing adoration of God through worship. She has a background of over 30 years of leading worship in various camp, church, and parachurch contexts. In addition to church music ministry, she also has close to 20 years of music teaching experience in a public school setting, as well as program development for non-profit ministries and senior living.
She is married to MBC president, Joe King. They have 4 children. They enjoy good coffee, travel, cooking, and the outdoors. And she thinks standard poodles are the best dog breed.
