MD 400 MINISTRY INTERNSHIP

The student will serve in a local church or ministry under the guidance of a qualified pastor or ministry/organization leader. The internship will be designed to provide practical field training in a particular ministry such as Christian education, youth or campus ministry, Christian camp ministry or other MBC approved parachurch ministry, or nonprofit. Internship requirements and applications may be obtained through the Registrar’s Office. Fall and Spring. Offered on demand. Prerequisite: Junior or Senior standing.

MD 302 TEACHING CHILDREN

This course operates with the understanding that teaching takes place anytime there is “communication of knowledge”. Students will learn and practice the art of teaching by considering their own learning processes, becoming adept at the skill of imparting truth, and growing in their capability to cultivate their own student’s ability to use his or her mind and body.

BC 310 Dynamics of Biblical Change

This course is a foundational counseling course that introduces the key framework and themes
related to the wisdom and practice of biblical counseling. The way that you counsel other people
is determined by how you understand God, yourself, other people, life’s pressures, and change.
This course addresses the depth, breadth, and balance of your understanding. Students who complete this course along with BC 320 may be eligible to apply for the CCEF Formation Certificate.

BC 320 Helping Relationships

This course seeks to develop your ministry skills, whether in everyday friendships or more formal, counseling relationships. You'll grow in your ability to listen well, know people, interpret another person’s story from a biblical perspective, carefully and wisely apply Scripture, and offer biblically-based truth that will motivate others in their growth in Christ. Students who complete this course along with BC 310 may be eligible to apply for the CCEF Formation Certificate.
