Montana Bible College was born out of a desire for Christians in Montana to have the opportunity to pursue a solid, Bible-based education without having to leave the state. The founders worked, prayed, and planned, and Montana Bible College held classes for the first time in the fall of 1987. In the early days of MBC, classes were small and the facilities were limited, but the Lord was gracious to provide.

With the passing years, the Lord faithfully answered the prayers of MBC’s founders. As the school fulfilled its call to help students grow in their commitment to Christ and preparedness to serve Him, He provided additional students and adequate facilities. Throughout the history of the College, God has blessed by providing a high-caliber faculty who are qualified to teach in a Bachelor of Arts degree program. Montana Bible College began the Bachelor’s program offering a pastoral ministry or general ministry emphasis option.

Over the last two decades, the Lord has grown MBC in several ways. The size of the student body has increased to over 100 students. The College has added full-time faculty to its excellent group of adjunct instructors. A one-year Certificate in Biblical Studies program has been added, along with three additional emphasis options (all of which are now considered concentrations): Missions, Biblical Counseling, and Christian Ethics and Culture. These curriculum expansions offer students a wider range of options in their course of study.

MBC’s facilities have also expanded with the addition of library, student union and office space, as well as three residence halls. In addition, Montana Bible College is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, FL 32822, 407.207.0808) to grant certificates and degrees at the One-Year and Baccalaureate levels.
