Library Policies

Library Use

Please be respectful of those needing a quiet place to study. Keep talking and noise to a minimum, unless you’re in one of the two conference rooms in the library. Groups may shut the conference room door if you will be talking, but please note that opposite-sex single students may NOT be in the rooms alone together with a shut door. This rule will be strictly enforced.

When using resources in the library, please do not re-shelve the books and/or periodicals . You may leave them on a table/study carrel and the library staff will count and re-shelve the materials for statistical purposes.

Take advantage of our Coffee Corner! For a donation you can enjoy hot coffee, chocolate, cider or tea. Please use covered beverage containers when consuming beverages in the library.

Online Catalog

If you are looking for a book, you can search Montana Bible College ‘s catalog by logging onto www.montanabiblecollege.edu/library. You now have access to an online database that includes not only MBC library’s holdings, but also the holdings of the Montana Library Network. If we don’t have the book you want, you may be able to obtain it from another library through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Contact one of the MBC library staff if you are interested in doing this.

Suggestion Box

We value your insight! If there is a book (or books) we do not have in the library that you think should be there, please stop by the circulation desk and fill out a “Suggested Materials” form and drop it in our “Suggestions Box” on the circulation desk. We can’t promise we’ll get the book you’re after, but we’ll certainly review your request and let you know what we decide.

Also, if there is material in the library that you think should not be there, please let us know by requesting a “Reconsideration of a Work” form and filling it out. We will gladly review your suggestion/objection regarding our current material and consider whether there is reasonable cause to remove or replace it. Thanks for your help!
